ReplyDeleteThose solid colour fabrics are gorgeous! So useful..I was looking at my stash today and thinking that I should buy some plain fabrics to match a few of the fancy patterned fabrics that I have.

ReplyDeleteI've finished all 3! Thank you so much for this challenge. I'm self taught, so this has been extremely helpful for me to see where I was going wrong. HA! I'm surprised anything ever came out square!
ReplyDeleteALL FINISHED WITH THREE - but, as a beginner, I really didn't have an eye for the colors (using scraps and pieces) and my 9-patch don't look like little crosses and the churn dash turned out also confused. So right now I'm re-cutting the churn dash and tomorrow will re-cut the 9-patch and hopefully I'll figure this out. I think I need an additional tutorial that when the directions say "light" or "dark", they indicate whether the lights should be the same or different fabric and the same for the darks..for churn dash, for example, for the corners of the original I used two different lights, which meant that I only had two matching corners...and then I used a different light for the center....see what I mean? HELP!
ReplyDeleteThree blocks done and loving each new one! Can't wait for more to come
