Here it is! The last 6" Scrappy Triangle.
I feel like we need to have a party. Everyone just plan on coming over to my house this evening with all their quilt blocks. :) Because we did it! One year of weekly Scrappy Triangles! That is huge. Give yourselves a big pat on the back and go brag to a friend. :)

My Scrappy Triangle Layout |
I have to admit something. I jumped ahead and made the last few blocks early and my finished quilt is at the quilters right now. (!!!) I cannot wait to get it back and show you! Because I have been using low-volume/lights all year, the pattern is fairly subtle, but I like it. I wanted something calm and neutral for my bedroom. If you can call a quilt with hundreds of different fabrics calm? :)
Looking forward, I am going to start a smaller short term scrappy project. Next week I am going to start posting mini tutorials for quilt blocks made with the smaller 1", 2" & 3" Scrappy Triangles. There will be both 6" and 12" options and there will be 12 blocks total. I've made a couple up and they are so. stinking. cute. Stop by next Tuesday and see first one. (You can
find the patterns for the 1, 2 & 3" Scrappy Triangles in my Craftsy or Etsy shops.)

Sneak Peek! |
I am also getting ready to announce the details of a Scrappy Block of the Month pattern for 2019. It is specifically designed to use scrap fabric and is pretty epic, if I do say so myself. I'll be sending out all the info via
newsletter, plus a newsletter only coupon code in a few weeks. If you haven't signed up yet,
you can do so here. It will be the best way to make sure you don't miss it.
Thanks again making Scrappy Triangles along with me this year. It was so much fun! (hugs and high fives all around!)

Thank you Leila for all the Scrappy Triangle Blocks. This has been an amazing year with so many different looks from each one. Your quilt is going to be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Leila, it's been fun. I can say I am a pro now at FPP. I decided on a chevron pattern for my quilt because I have made lots of HST quilts and not one of them ended up in a chevron pattern. Can't wait to show off the finished product.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Leila for this great Sew Along. I am way behind in making my blocks but a week away next week at 'my happy place' aka fishing shack near the lake, will be my catch up sewing of these blocks and I hope to be able to at least post a pic of all the finished blocks in both my colourways very soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you, thank you! You've been so diligent about preparing these posts and making each week's block so easily accessible. I KNOW how much effort you've put into this, and I for one truly appreciate it. I'm excited to finish up my last few blocks and have some play with them on the design wall. As I made only one of each, I'm thinking to add alternating half-square triangle blocks, or quarter-square triangle blocks to make it a quilt that's a bit larger. Good for you to already get yours quilted. As I will be quilting mine myself, it could be a few more months until I see a finish. But there's no hurry as the quilt isn't intended for anyone. Thank you again for sharing your skills with us! You're the best!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I found your scrappy patterns! I can't wait to get started!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the wonderful patterns. It has been a lot of fun seeing your new design each week.
ReplyDeleteThis has been such fun! Thank you for sharing with us the fruits of your creative talents!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to next year, too!
Thank you for making these wonderful blocks. I never know what to do with all of my scraps and now I have an endless project to use them all. I can not wait to sew all of these. Hope you continue with projects like these.
ReplyDeleteThanks sew for fun inspirations, now just need time to put this all together.
